Lots of things have been happening in the background with CiQ in the last few months, so let's all get caught up!
Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to our good friend and vocalist
Chris Kostuck. There's no ill will here, it just simply didn't work out
with life getting in the way. We thank Chris for all the hard work he
put in, tons of time spent, and his enthusiasm for keeping us motivated.
It was a pleasure working with him.
We are moving forward and are extremely excited to welcome our dear
friend Tom Lunde to the chaos family! Tom brings an amazing amount of
experience to the band both from a performance and composition
perspective. You may recognize him from his other bands (Skyline, Kill
Baxter, and currently Tune in Tokyo) or from the title of one of our
songs (Tom vs Time, which he may have to sing as "Me vs Time" heh).
Tom has displayed such an incredible ability to pick up on things that
we'll be returning to the stage Oct 18th at The Legacy Ballroom with
some AWESOME bands: Eye Empire and Stardog Champion (2 original members
of Breaking Benjamin)! We might even have a new song finished and ready
to amaze and delight you!
In addition to that, we've bought a
trailer, bought some gear to improve the actual show (lighting, monitor
rack, and some other cool stuff), and are lining up shows in Sioux
Falls, Minneapolis, etc... Lots of great things coming down the pipe!
FREE MUSIC!
Decibel Consulting and Design has put together vol 4 of their compilation series albums featuring 19 tracks of original music from bands all over the region, including us! Head here for the free download: http://decibelpromo.bandcamp.com/
We are booking once again! We're excited to return to the stage with Chris Kostuck at the helm. You can catch an acoustic performance on April 20th in Mother's Music, Moorhead and/or a full band performance on April 27th at the Legacy Ballroom (above the pickled parrot). Be sure to keep checking back for more dates!
